You know, for a while there, I thought I was going to be posting all the time. Or at least posting photos. Or something. I hardly ever even think about posting to be honest.
I was just struck with the urge to say something, but for lack of time, this is all I’ve got.
In a nutshell, the kids are awesome, J. is awesome, and I am busy as ever.

I’ve been fascinated watching Sam get into music.
He’s been into The Evens pretty much since he was born, and listens to them every night as he falls asleep.
When we try to buy “kid” music for him it usually falls flat. He likes one of those Dan Zanes records, but I think that’s just because there is a train on the cover. He is pretty much uninterested in the (I think amazing) Leadbelly Sings for Children record though.
Now that he’s parroting I keep a closer watch on what we listen to for content (sorry ODB) but don’t really worry about what he might like or dislike too much and let the chips fall where they may. Right now we’re listening to Hot Charity by Rocket from the Crypt and he is going mental. Go figure…
I’ve got a new job and it’s been keeping me extra busy, which is my current excuse for not posting. More soon, I promise.

When we were at Camp Mather we had the opportunity to go on a hay ride. It occurs to me that I am a real East Coast weenie when I reflect on how excited I was to hang out with authentic Western Cowboys.
